THINGS TO DO ON A WEEKEND THAT DON'T INVOLVE ALCOHOL

Since returning from travelling I’ve kind of toned down my weekends 1. Because its like -17 outside and I don’t like to leave the house in the dark 2. I have only been paid once since August 2017 but 3. Because I feel like there’s so much more I can do with my weekend other than sinking £7 G&T’s before Saturday lunchtime (and feeling great Monday morning).
I’m not saying I don’t drink at weekends but it’s much more of a chilled drink here and there with dinner than passing out in bed at 2am. With my influx of time at weekends I’ve been mixing things up. Below are a few of my faves that I have planned/have done recently.
1. Take the train to the seaside
I’m very lucky to live right next to a train station with a direct train to Brighton in 45 minutes, I feel less lucky 8am on a Monday morning trying to cram myself into a packed train but it does have its perks.

This is something we usually decide to do spontaneously but always have so much fun, we’ve also been to Plymouth and Ramsgate which are a little longer but still weekend worthy.

We have a 2 night stay in Kent in June with 10 of us as we promised ourselves we’d do more UK trips this year!
2. Trying out one of London’s fab workout classes
These seem expensive but it’s less than a bottle of prosecco? - and not to mention the ROI of how good you’ll feel!
Personal recommendations; Un1t London Sunday's Fus1ion class, Core Collective Lift & Row or a Barrys Bootcamp.

(These are also great followed by a coffee & brunch spot, obv (or make your own to save that extra dollar) – blog coming soon on my top London brunch spots).

3. Visit a leisure centre for an activity
This is something I’d never really thought of doing in London as they aren’t normally that close to you however there are so many things you can do (that aren’t that expensive) and great to do as a group/couple.
We recently visited the Everyone Active in WestWay (near Shepherds Bush) for a climbing wall experience. The centre was MASSIVE and there were tons of different climbs, it takes some serious upper arm strength but was so much fun (especially as a group!).

Me and Josh are planning to head to another EveryoneActive soon for a weekend swim! Watch the video below for our experience at the climbing centre (inc my lack of arm strength).
Any of these above are guaranteed to make you feel refreshed, occupy you instead of heading to a beer garden and be slightly less fuzzy eyed come Monday morning!
Does anyone else have any activities for me to try out?
