I'M DOING A TRANSFORMATION?

I’ll be first to admit I’ve used the ‘I’ve just been travelling’ excuse to why I haven’t been looking after myself so far this year. I went straight back into work 2 weeks after getting back at the end of January so my priorities were focused on finding a new flat, moving back to London and settling into my new role 👩🏼💻 - which is fine, but it’s made me feel so sluggish and tbh a little lazy.
It’s now been just under 8 weeks since we’ve been home so I can’t blame snoozing my morning alarm on jet lag anymore 🤷🏼♀️✈️.

Pre travelling I was a lot more active and generally a lot more healthy. I’m a creature of habit and going to the gym before work was how I loved to start my day. It made me feel more awake, energized and accomplished all before I opened my laptop at my desk at work. But after spending so much time with no training routine and no drive to spend hours of my Sunday meal prepping (we ate our 90% of our time in Asia). I feel kind of lost with my training and nutrition. Therefore I’ve decided to kick start feeling better and more healthy with an 8 week transformation with Fresh Fitness Food.
This won’t be a body transformation as such, yes my body will change but it’s more a mindset shift to educating myself about looking after my body - and it won’t stop at 8 weeks. I will be documenting the next few weeks to show you the changes to my lifestyle, training and nutrition but I’m not looking for short-term goals. I won’t be avoiding social events, but I also don’t want to be feeling like crap every weekend. Mindful and moderation FTW. ✌🏻
Even though this won't be solely about aesthetics of course I’d like to lose a little bit of my rice fluff that I’ve gained from Asia 🍚 but I don’t want it to be my focus; or to get fixated on numbers. I want to get stronger, get healthier and find a style of training that doesn’t bore me and can in return lead to a healthy sustainable lifestyle.
Details about the next 8 weeks below!
The Food 🍴
I always used to batch cook as it’s the easiest, cheapest and quickest way to meal prep – in return this meant I would cook pretty much the same meal every single day. I’m out of the house from like 6am til 7pm and the last thing I want to do when I get in is cook two different meals for the next day. But now I have Fresh Fitness Food – the holy grail (delivered daily in these bags below!)

I will be eating FFF Monday-Friday for the next 8 weeks. This allows me to still cook at the weekends (which I do enjoy when I have time!). I’ve been on Fresh Fitness Food for a week now and I haven’t had the same meal twice, which I’m quite sad about in some cases. I don’t have to weigh or count anything, I eat when I’m hungry for food that’s already prepared for me with a huge variety of ingredients.

I’ll be sharing a few blogs on what exactly is in my bag and how I’m finding it!
The training 🏋🏼♀️
I will be training with @Fred_fit_ twice a week at the On Your Marks Studio in Clapham. The focus of this training will be technique to ensure I feel confident outside of these sessions to train solo and effectively. I've hurt my back and knees in the past so really looking forward to putting more focus on this. Fred will also be helping me with mobility and range of motion, something I struggle with due to being at a desk so much.

I've already have two sessions with Fred and already feel more confident and motivated to get training again.
Outside of these sessions with Fred I will be training at @un1t_london. If you haven’t tried one of these sessions I would highly recommend. I used to train on my own at a gym but I don’t work anywhere near as hard as I do in these – working as a team makes it so much more enjoyable and you push yourself for your team!

I’ll be sharing what I’m learning and how I’m finding it on my personal blog and on @lifeinlycra_ and @freshfitnessfood.
Wish me luck! 💁🏼♀️
