WE'RE GOING TRAVELLING!!!

The day has finally come where we can share the news, WE’RE GOING TRAVELLING!!!

For most of my friends I think it probably came as a bit of a shock that the prinny who will overdress for brunch and pack 3 pairs of shoes for one night away is planning on living from a backpack and roughing it a little. There won’t be any creepy crawlies though right?

We will be travelling for just over 3 months, flying beginning of October and returning mid January. We’ve had months of having to pretend its not happening, watching travel YouTube videos every night and trying to save during a Summer in London. I haven't had my nails or hair done since MAY.

Our route

We’ve changed this quite a few times and unfortunately we’ve dropped Australia from the end, as I soon realised I couldn’t afford to do it all (tragic).

Our route will be: Birmingham > Dubai > Bangkok > Chiang Mai > Vietnam > Cambodia > Bangkok > Phi Phi Islands > Philippines > Bali > Borneo > Kuala Lumpur > Birmingham

We will be spending 3 days in Dubai with my friend who lives out there before heading to Bangkok for the real backpacker experience. We have booked a 14-day tour to Chiang Mai from Bangkok (which I will discuss in a separate post), then from here we are meeting a few friends in Vietnam. We’ve loosely planned the rest of our trip, we will probably spend Xmas and New Year in Bali but this could all change.

After searching the web for the past 6 months we’ve realized there’s quite a lot of information (a lot outdated) so even though all we will have is our shiny new Go Pro Hero 5 and my Iphone we’re hoping to blog and document our trip. I will also be writing a few blog posts on how and where we booked, vaccinations, what we’re packing etc in the hope that it will be useful to someone.
