15 THINGS NO ONE TOLD ME BEFORE MOVING TO LONDON

So when I decided to move to London in February I feel I was very niave. I was the girl that turned up to work on the first day after taking a magazine from every single person I walked past on my commute as I felt bad for them, I genuinely turned up to work with about 7 magazines everyday for the first week. Now I've become the cold hearted bitch who doesn't even give them eye contact and get angry when people walk slow on the underground - MOVE BITCH GET OUT THE WAY
Anywhoo these below are just some things I feel people should really warn you about before you take the move to the big city!
Drinking is acceptable any time, any day of the week. Lunchtime meeting at work- a bottle of vino is the norm. And if you turn down a drink from the beer fridge because you've decided to stop mid week drinking you will be frowned upon
You don’t need to ever wear coat, it may be 10 degrees outside but any public transport will be 110 degrees
Make sure you make the most of the free stuff they give away at tube stations/anywhere you can get your hands on it. When you're paying a small fortune for rent those free juices and Hellmans mayo go a long way
Not only do you pay more for gym memberships, you also will not be able to workout if you go between the house of 6-8pm – that’s if you ever make it to the gym. Trust me just go in the morning before someone from work decides everyone should go for ‘one drink’ and you get home at 3am with a McDonalds
Your willpower will weaken
Most workplaces supply free food and drink
Disposable income? Lol what’s one of those?
Homeless people are everywhere but don’t worry they are harmless (most of the time)
Apart from on the tube people are actually super friendly
Thank god you have to walk most places because if you have a tendency to quickly gain weight you would become the size of a house. Told all my friends all the walking around London, my fitbit will be going wild. Yes but so are your Thursdays, the deals make it the only affordable night to go out
Keep an eye on EventBrite they always have cool events to go to – but they also book up SUPER fast!
Very rarely is a 9-5 a 9-5 job.
Don’t ever think about the time you actually spend in your room you pay half your wage for – you’re too busy out having fun most the time!
You’ll never get bored.
You won’t regret moving – the pro’s definitely outweighs the cons
and I wouldn't change a thing!
